Tonina, Tonina Saputo

Singer/songwriter, bassist, music journalist and poet, Tonina first began playing the upright bass at age 9, inspired by her bassist father and influenced by her parents' collective musical tastes. Her song Historia De Un Amor (feat. Javier Limón and Tali Rubinstein) was listed as one of Barack Obama's favorite songs in 2018. Tonina is a singer/songwriter, bassist, music journalist and poet from St. Louis, Missouri who performs her original music along with her arrangements of covers in both Spanish and English. Tonina comes from a family of music lovers that exposed her to many music styles, from funk, soul, and jazz to classical music.
