Director of Finance

Join TEDxStLouis as Director of Finance! Help Shape the Future of Our Community Through Financial Leadership

Overview

Are you passionate about nonprofit financial management and community impact? TEDxStLouis is looking for a Director of Finance to lead our financial operations, strategy, and reporting. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring our organization’s financial health and sustainability, helping us inspire change and showcase the transformative power of ideas in the St. Louis region.

Whether you’re an experienced finance professional or someone eager to grow and contribute, we’ll provide the support, collaboration, and mission-driven environment you need to succeed in this key leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and cash flow management.

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and long-term financial plans in collaboration with leadership.

  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations, including IRS 501(c)(3) requirements and annual filings.

  • Provide financial insights to support fundraising efforts, grant applications, and donor reporting.

  • Work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to align financial strategies with organizational goals.

Director of Partnership

Overview

Are you passionate about building meaningful relationships and creating lasting community impact? TEDxStLouis is looking for a Director of Partnership to lead our fundraising efforts, including corporate partnerships, donor engagement, and grant opportunities. Whether you’re an experienced fundraiser or simply eager to learn and grow, we’ll provide the guidance and support you need to thrive in this important role.

This is your chance to work with an inspiring team, grow your skills, and play a vital role in ensuring TEDxStLouis has the resources to share the transformative ideas that make our community extraordinary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute plans to meet annual revenue goals through corporate sponsorships, individual donations, grants, and creative campaigns.

  • Build Partnerships: Cultivate new corporate and community relationships while strengthening connections with existing sponsors and donors.

  • Engage Donors: Oversee donor stewardship efforts, create recognition programs, and lead annual giving campaigns to inspire ongoing support.

  • Support Event Fundraising: Work closely with event teams to integrate fundraising strategies into our TEDx events.

  • Track Progress: Use donor management tools to monitor fundraising performance, track donor relationships, and ensure transparency in reporting.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who:

  • Has 5+ years of fundraising or donor relations experience, with a proven track record of securing sponsorships, grants, and individual gifts.

  • Thrives in building relationships with corporate partners, donors, and foundations.

  • Communicates effectively and inspires diverse audiences.

  • Has experience managing donor databases and CRM tools (or is eager to learn).

  • Is strategic, collaborative, and driven to align fundraising efforts with our mission.

Responsibilities

As our Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, you’ll:

  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating volunteers for events.

  • Plan 4–6 fun and meaningful activities each year to keep our volunteers engaged.

  • Track volunteer contributions and ensure they feel valued.

  • Help collect feedback and ideas from volunteers to improve their experience.

Innovation Alley Coordinator

Are you passionate about event design and love creating spaces where local companies and communities connect? TEDxStLouis is looking for an Innovation Alley Coordinator to lead the design, organization, and execution of Innovation Alley — our exciting exhibit space that showcases mission-aligned organizations at TEDxStLouis events.

This is your chance to work with an inspiring team, build meaningful partnerships, and bring innovation to life for hundreds of attendees.

Responsibilities

As Innovation Alley Coordinator, you will:

  • Develop the overall structure and design of Innovation Alley to align with each event’s theme and audience.

  • Collaborate with the Partnerships team to recruit a diverse mix of paid and in-kind exhibitors.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for exhibitors, providing clear communication, deadlines, and support.

  • Coordinate all logistics, including booth assignments, load-in schedules, and on-site setup.

  • Work closely with the Programs and Communications teams to promote Innovation Alley, highlight exhibitor stories, and ensure strong audience engagement.

  • Oversee space planning, equipment needs, and operational details for seamless execution.

  • Gather post-event feedback to improve and innovate future Innovation Alley experiences.
